'My Dentist Mackay'
My Dentist Mackay is a modern dental practice in the Mackay CBD.
In 2012, after many years working in other dental clinics Mackay and the surrounding
area, Debra took the steps to set up her own dental practice. She wanted to offer her
patients the very best in modern dental care, right here in her home town. It has
been an interesting journey to say the least and we have learnt a lot along the way,
both personally and professionally. The dental word is constantly changing and we
are always looking for ways to improve our service, however our commitment to
quality, personalised care will remain.

Dr. Debra Brown
I’m Dr. Debra Brown, the Principal Dentist here.
I was born in Mackay and grew up surrounded by canefields in Calen. I attended school in Calen, then Mirani, before moving to Brisbane to study at The University of Queensland (UQ) where I graduated with honours. UQ has lots of jacaranda trees, probably where my love of purple comes from ;)! Following graduation I started my career at the Mackay Base Hospital and have worked in the region since then.
In 2012, I started my own clinic focused on providing my patients with the best dentistry has to offer.
I am a member of the Australian Dental Association, I have done further education to be granted Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS) and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics (clear aligners). I have previously served on the clinical council of the North Queensland Primary Healthcare Network (NQPHN).
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, keep active with yoga and enjoy photography and exploring the beautiful region we live in.

We are not your typical dental clinic.
Our space is delicately designed to have a day ‘spa’ like feel. As you visit us for the first time, our reception area invites you in to take a seat on our warm sunlit lounge and enjoy our calming music. When you walk into our dental rooms you get to sit back on our comfortable, cushiony dental chairs and immerse yourself in the overhead tv. We are able to offer pillows, blankets and lip balm if required. Mixing a colour palette of purple and grey we have created the perfect balance of modern and boutique style space. Before you know it, your appointment is completed and you can get on your way. Our friendly team we be here to assist you in any way they can!

Flexible Payment Options
At My Dentist Mackay, we make paying for treatment easy and stress-free by accepting several payment options and offering flexible dental payment plans.
HICAPS
We accept all Health Funds and have a HICAPS machine available to make on-the-spot health fund claims for your treatment. This makes claiming for treatment easy and accessible!
CASH & CARDS
We accept cash & payment by cards. This provides multiple ways for you to pay your bills. Payment for your treatment is required at the time of your visit.
We offer interest free payment plans via Denticare. This allows you to break up payments over an agreed time period. Please advise us upon booking your
appointments if you require this, as there is an application and approval process to be completed, prior to any treatment being commenced.
CHILD DENTAL BENEFIT
We accept Medicare CDBS for children aged 2-17 years who are eligible for the scheme. However we are private billing, which means while Medicare will assist with payment, there will be an out of pocket/ gap payment applicable.
